37. Anna Sybilla (Anne Sybil) * 24 June 1573 + after 1602
The younger daughter of Wacław III Adam and his second wife, the Princess of Saxony, Katarzyna Sydonia. She was born in Cieszyn. She spent several years at the court of Saxony following the death of her father. Her stepfather, the district commander of Trenčin, Emeryk Forgach, planned to marry her to the Prince of Transylvania, Sigismund I Bathory. These plans came to nothing owing to objections by Emperor Rudolph II, who intended to link Bathory with the court of Vienna. In 1595 Sigismund I married Archduchess Catherine Habsburg, while the Cieszyn Princess most probably spent the rest of her days at her brother's court in Cieszyn.
