He was born around 1803 and worked in Cieszyn as Royal Imperial councillor to the Provincial Court, then chairman – and later president of the District Court (Kreisgericht) in Cieszyn. He died in 1878 holding the position of court adviser. In 1864, 1870 and 1873 he was elected to the Town Council; in 1867 he was a deputy member of the Town Council. He was awarded with the title Ritter d. Ordens der eiserne Krone.
The title of honorary citizen was awarded to him during a meeting of the Town Council on 26 November 1875 to coincide with his fiftieth anniversary of service in the courts, which fell on 12 December of that year. To support the award his long service in the local authority was cited and his work as director of the District Court, creating a guarantee of safety for the citizens of Cieszyn and the town’s material security. The diploma was issued on 5 December 1875.
