A view from under the so called devil's arcades from the parish church. Over Rose street (nowadays A. Olszaka) connecting Mint street with Arch. Stephana street there was constructed a tenement-house over the double-exit covered way. In accordance with a legend it was unlucky to walk under them; hence the name “Devil's Arcades". The house was destroyed in 1911 thus opening up Rose street.
