Cieszyn prince was Przemysław I Noszak, who ruled in the years 1358-1410. Starting from 1355, he made a career at the courts of the King of Bohemia and the Emperor Karel IV. At first he was the court judge of the Reich, then a diplomat who worked as an envoy of the Emperor to numerous European countries. Lastly he was the governor of the Reich. As a reward he was granted numerous endowments in Silesia by the Emperor. He was also one of the main advisers to King Wacław IV (1378-1419) in the first years of his reign.
