The oldest hospital
and a pharmacy came into being (1697-1714) at the monastery and church of the Brothers Hospitallers’. Before there was merely a so-called small hospital for townspeople, i.e. an alms-house for the ill, the poor, and the old residents of Cieszyn. Until today The Brothers Hospitallers have been running a pharmacy (i.e. for more than 300 years) and in the former hospital they run a Rest Home.
