The oldest models and patterns of clothes
were preserved in the book of the Cieszyn tailors’ guild from the 16th century. The book contains descriptions with measurements and drawings of clothes sewn by tailors at that time and other textile implements. Thus, along with a man’s shirt, a French dress, a carter’s coveralls, a woman’s skirt, a coat, a vest and tights, there is a chasuble, a dalmatic, a tent, cover for armour, and a horse and a saddle blanket.
