The Polish male training college was founded by the Cieszyn Duchy in 1904 as a parallel to the German seminar. Before 1911 the educational authorities were unable to build any buildings beyond the town because of the objections of the German people of Cieszyn. Nowadays, it is part of the University of Silesia.
