Waste material
Maintenance of Cleanness and Order in Communes Act 13 Sept.1996 defines the municipality’s and property owners' responsibilities concerning the maintenance of cleanness and order.
Soil
During the first five years of the 1990s studies of heavy metal concentration in soil and plant matter were carried out several times.
Air
Free air is the element of the environment in which most important life processes of living organisms take place, among them processes of assimilation and respiration, and also processes of oxidation (combustion).
Road traffic noise
Road traffic is the most common and the most unpleasant source of noise. It is estimated that currently about one third of residents of Poland are exposed to excessive noise. The former Bielsko Voivodeship was included among those of particularly high exposure to excessive noise.
Water
Water for drinking and industrial purposes in Cieszyn is taken from the intake in Pogórze (Skoczów Muncipality). The intake was built in 1936 and is located in a fork of the Wisła and the Brennica. 24 dug and drilled wells 6-13 m deep are currently in use.
