The station started operation just before 1899 as a railway stop for Cieszyn-Bobrówka. Here was also a station restaurant run by Maria Amler. At that time, there was already built an access way to the stop, and was named after dr Philipp Gabriel (nowadays F. Hajduka), who was a director of the Cieszyn grammar school for many years.
