The swimming-pools were built next to the Olza, on a plain often flooded by iby the river. So as to prevent this, water steps were built, which regulated the flow of the water (the Puncówka, Młynówka) through artificial water courses. When the opportunity occurred, all the surroundings were turned into a recreation-walking area.
