The west side of Demel Square
The west side of Demel Square. In house nr 6 was dr Karl Zaar chemist shop which was one of the oldest chemist's in town, formerly called “chemist's at the Black Dog", it was situated on the ground floor of number 8. Between them, August Eduard Schroeder - a scientist and economist built three storeyed tenement-houses in 1911. On the second side of the square there was a rank for cabs; at that time there were about 30 cabs in Cieszyn.
